Plum Grove Historic Site is at 1030 Carroll St. Built in 1844, Plum Grove was the farm home of Iowa's first territorial governor Robert Lucas. Tours of the furnished house explore the Lucas family and life on the Iowa frontier. The grounds include three heritage gardens and exhibits about archaeological excavations at the site. Guided tours are available.

Hours: Wed.-Sun. 1-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day; Sat.-Sun. 1-5, day after Labor Day-Oct. 31. Garden tours are offered Sun. 2-4, Memorial Day-Labor Day.
