Lime Creek Nature Center is 1 mi. n. of US 65 at 3501 Lime Creek Rd. The center offers views of native plants, reptiles, mammals, fish and insects in their natural setting. Hikers and skiers can explore more than 8 miles of trails through 400 acres of forest, field and prairie. Indoor exhibits include mounted birds and mammals, bird feeders seen through picture windows, hands-on displays and murals.
Conservation area open daily 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Nature center open Mon.-Fri. 7:30-4, Sat. 9-5, Sun. 1-5, during DST; Mon.-Fri. 7:30-4, Sat. 9-4, Sun. 1-4, rest of year; closed major holidays. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
