Midwest Old Threshers Heritage Museum is s. of US 34 on Walnut St., w. of jct. US 218 on the s. side of McMillan Park at 405 E. Threshers Rd. The museum displays early farm machinery and equipment, including a large collection of Corliss stationary steam engines, steam traction engines and steam-powered threshing machines. Exhibits depict a 1915 family farm house, a print shop, a tool dealership, a grain mill, the lives of farm women and the rural use of water, electricity and traction steam. Additional displays include a replica firehouse, a 1920s gasoline station and the evolution of transportation. Collections include American farm implements and antique dolls.
