I love the sense of nostalgia at this landmark restaurant. The loose meat burgers and the way they are served somehow comforts the soul.
AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Serving locally coveted loose-meat sandwiches with or without all the fixings since 1936, this is a step back in time and a place where you can get lunch for less than $5. I would plan to bring more money though as the burgers are addicting, and they offer more than a dozen different flavors of fresh-baked pies. The place is a historic landmark and quite literally located inside a parking garage. As the story goes, the city had to build the garage around the eatery given its historic nature.
