John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum, 500 Westfield Ave., highlights with rotating exhibits the company's history as well as its manufacturing and design functions in Iowa's Cedar Valley. Sixteen tractors on display represent models from the early 1900s to the present. An orientation video and interactive exhibits for children also are offered. Guided tours are available.
$8; $4 (ages 62+ and active military with ID); free (ages 0-12 with an adult). Guided tours are available for an additional $2 fee per person; reservations are recommended.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-6. One-hour guided tours are given Tues.-Sat. at 10:30 and 3:30. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas; phone ahead to confirm schedule of other holidays. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
