The ambiance of the historic city center flows into the public areas of this elegantly restored hotel, where fresh flowers are always displayed. The bright wall mural reflects days gone by. Rooms face either the busy city streets, or the inner courtyard, which is the preferred choice for a quiet nights sleep. Book a suite if you want a mini fridge and microwave.
Smoke free premises. 90 units, some efficiencies. 6 stories, interior corridors. Bath: shower only.
Pros: I loved the warm welcome I received, the excellent service from the staff. The staff went above and beyond to answer all my needs. Considering the daily rate of my room, I received much more than I expected. I lift my hat to all and especially to Xavier who did all he could to make my stay enjoyable. I would not hesitate to return to stay at that hotel.
Cons: The shower door did not close properly and some water went to the bathroom floor. A second thing: the safety deposit in my room did not work but they graciously offered me one in the lobby.
Pros: super location, very good rooms and staff
Pros: The room and staff were great, Max helped us set up our tour to Tequila since the Tequila Express was down. Had we been here a couple more days we really would have benefited from his knowledge. Many of the staff spoke English as well.
Cons: Not much! Any kind of food you wanted within walking distance. No negatives really, besides parking was somewhat cramped.
Traveling as Couple
Pros: Location and great beds
Cons: Parking was a bit difficult
Pros: Location is perfect for the Centro Historico. Staff all excellent. Unlimited water. Nespresso coffee in room.
Cons: Only one narrow bed - and the room was big enough for a wider one. Walls between rooms are thin, so loud neighbors can disturb.
Pros: Location is very convenient, close to historical sites as well as shopping and restaurants
Cons: Very poor sound insulation and very old towels which weren't appealing at all, drab
Verified Hotel Guest
Pros: Excellent downtown location. Walking distance from major tourist attractions, especially restaurants. Hotel also has very good guided tour trips to many famous cities of Guadalajara. Hotel staff very attentive and always ready to help.
Cons: No complaints about this hotel.
Pros: Location to the Historic Center
All of the Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean
Cons: The Hotel needs a little bit of updating
Towels and bath rug needs to be replaced
Pros: EVERY THING WAS GOOD..
Pros: great location in colonial center
Cons: rather basic hotel, small room, no carpet, internet and fridge barely worked, not quite a typical Holiday Inn
Cons: They said English speaking but when needed there weren't any
Cons: We got a room very far away from the internet source, so we couldn't connect during our stay
The room doesn't have sun light in any moment during the day
There was a party in the room downstairs immediately below us, so we couldn't sleep well either
Pros: the location is perfect for seeing the downtown sites. This is the third time we have stayed here.
Cons: We didn't like the terrible service at the restaurant upstairs , the poor quality of the food nor the prices
Pros: Wonderful friendly and helpful staff, great location and nice rooms.
Cons: minor glitches - my first room was tiny, but I was moved the next day. A few other quibbly things, but i will return.
Cons: Frustrating, difficult & confusing to locate PARKING!
Put us in an extremely noisy room next to the elevators with a small interior window! The bathroom was sub-standard-limited hot water, light over the sink burned out & the water stinks.Eventually, for the 2nd night we were given a better room with a window to the outside world. The restaurant decor was very "tired".
