St. Peter's Church

St. Peter's Church is near the Grand Port Royal Marina & Spa Hotel on Church St. Built in 1725 to replace Christ's Church, which slid into the sea in 1692, this Anglican church houses an 18th-century candelabrum, altar railings, an elaborate organ loft and monuments to a number of distinguished citizens. It also boasts a silver communion plate that was a gift from Sir Henry Morgan. In the churchyard is the tomb of Lewis Galdy, a famous survivor of the Great Earthquake.
