Pioneer-Krier Museum, 430 W. 4th St. (US 160), displays historical items in late 19th-century room settings. Among a collection of bridle bits is one of Spanish design that is thought to have belonged to a member of Coronado’s expedition. Other collections include barbed wire, fossilized bones, Native American artifacts, musical instruments and two airplanes designed and built by Harold Krier. Also featured are memorabilia from track star Wes Santee and other notable Kansans. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
