Prairie Museum of Art and History, 1905 S. Franklin Ave., is a 24-acre complex that includes a restored 1930s house, a sod house, a wooden fan windmill, a country church and a one-room school. Also featured is the 1936 Cooper Barn, which houses a 7,000-square-foot exhibit documenting high plains agriculture 1870-1990.

The museum also houses the Kuska Collection, which displays some 30,000 artifacts including glass, ceramics, dolls, toys, furniture, lamps, clocks, stamps, coins and textiles. Interactive exhibits for children are offered at the Kansas Kids Corner.
