Brown Grand Theatre

Brown Grand Theatre is 5 blks. w. of US 81 at 310 W. 6th St. Built in 1907, the theater was restored to its original state and re-opened in 1980. Once an opera house and movie theater, the building now is a community center for art displays, plays and musical performances. Exhibits also include a gallery of playbills from the early 1900s. Half-hour guided tours featuring the history of the theater and a behind-the-scenes look at the stage are available by request.
