High Plains Museum, 1717 Cherry St., displays a full-size, automated replica of America’s first patented helicopter, built in Goodland by Purvis and Wilson in 1910, and a 1902 Holsman rope-driven automobile. Exhibits explore rural themes and life in northwest Kansas. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
