Fort Harker Museum is at 309 W. Ohio Ave. Abandoned in 1872, Fort Harker was used to protect the north central Kansas frontier from hostile Native Americans and later became the main supply depot for all the frontier forts in the West. Featured are a horse-drawn ambulance, military uniforms and equipment from World Wars I and II. A train depot is on the grounds as well as a guard house and officers’ quarters. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
