McPherson County Old Mill Museum, 5 blks. s. on Main St., then 1 blk. e. to 120 E. Mill St., includes historic buildings and pioneer and Swedish exhibits. The Dreams of America exhibit showcases the immigrant settlement of the area. Smoky Valley Roller Mill is one of the earliest water-powered flour mills in the state. Visitors can see the mill in operation during Millfest, held the first weekend in May. The Swedish Pavilion, also on the grounds, originally was part of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. A small park and campground are on the banks of the Smoky Hill River.
