Original Pony Express Home Station No. 1 Museum, 106 S. Eighth St., served as an 1859 headquarters for the postal riders before the introduction of the telegraph to the Western territories. The museum displays post office boxes from the state’s first civilian post office, established in Marysville in 1854.
