Medicine Lodge Stockade, in town on US 160, is a reconstruction of the original stockade built in 1874 to protect the early settlers from Native Americans. A log house built in 1877 has been moved to the site and furnished in period. The museum contains historical items and records. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Includes Carry A. Nation Home $5; $4 (ages 55+); $3 (ages 7-14).
Hours: Daily 10:30-5, June-Oct.; 1-4, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
