Pawnee Indian Museum State Historic Site, 8 mi. n. of US 36 on SR 266, is on the site of a 1700s Pawnee Indian village. The museum building is constructed over the excavated floor of an earth lodge. Artifacts have been left exactly where they were found. Exhibits and dioramas depict Pawnee life. A nature trail is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
