I bring my family here for the large portions of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Plus, kids love the gigantic, sugary cinnamon rolls.
AAA Inspector Notes
With a recipe that dates back to 1933 this pan-fried chicken is a Kansas City classic transported over to Wichita. An offshoot of the original, this space has the same old charm and unique grounds as the Kansas City location. The main attraction still is the pan-fried chicken—tender and juicy with a crispy crust and creamy gravy. Other highlights include steak, pork chops, salmon, catfish and burgers. Large bowls of gravy and green beans are served family style.
