Heaven Hill Distilleries Bourbon Heritage Center is at 1311 Gilkey Run Rd. Functioning as the visitor center for Heaven Hill Distilleries, the facility provides information about the history of bourbon and how it is produced. Hosts conduct 30- and 75-minute as well as half-day guided Behind the Scenes tours, which include interactive exhibits and visits to a rickhouse (where the bourbon is aged), the cistern room, the production plant and the bottling site. Guests over age 20 can sample the company’s bourbons in a barrel-shaped tasting room.

Half-hour tour $4; ages 0-20 free. Ninety-minute tour $6; ages 0-20 free. Behind the Scenes tour $25. Ages 0-20 are not permitted in tasting area.
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-4. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Election Day, Christmas and Dec. 31. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing. Behind the Scenes tour available by advance reservation only.
