This motel is an older property and is nothing fancy but it offers affordable and clean rooms within walking distance of the center of town. The lobby has beautiful cypress chairs. The hotel is named in honor of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, a commander of the Virginia militia who was noted for urging American artillery to fire on his own manor house which was being used as a headquarters by General Cornwallis at Yorktown.
