Dinsmore Homestead is 6.5 mi. w. of downtown Burlington on SR 18 at 5656 Burlington Pike. The homestead preserves the house and grounds of James Dinsmore and his family. Dinsmore bought the nearly 700 acres in 1839; the house was completed in 1842. The homestead remained in the Dinsmore family for five generations.
