AAA Editor Notes
Liberty Hall Historic Site, 202-218 Wilkinson St., consists of two historic houses situated on 4 acres of formal boxwood and perennial gardens on the banks of the Kentucky River. In order to give both of his son's equal inheritance, Sen. John Brown divided the original 4-acre site into two parcels, each with a house. Tours of both houses include changing exhibits that focus on the lives of the Brown family and the early days of Kentucky’s statehood. Liberty Hall Historic Site is owned by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
