AAA Editor Notes

John James Audubon Museum and Nature Center, at John James Audubon State Park, contains works and relics of the artist’s life and times. Four galleries include oils, watercolors and 435 original prints from the 1839 folio edition of “The Birds of America.” The Nature Center has The Observation Room overlooking a native plant garden and a woodland pond; The Discovery Center, with hands-on activities; and The Learning Center, with a naturalist and an art educator in a classroom setting. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$5; $4 (ages 62+); $3 (ages 6-12); $12 (family rate).
Hours: Daily 10-5, mid-Mar. through Nov. 30; Thurs.-Sun. 10-5, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving, Christmas week and Dec. 31.
