Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Home, 7 mi. n.e. on US 31E, is a reconstructed 19th-century cabin on the site where Lincoln lived 1811-16. The 16th president’s boyhood home is at Knob Creek and is part of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
Hours: Daily 8:30-4:30, Memorial Day-Labor Day; Sat.-Sun. 8:30-4:30, Apr. 1-day before Memorial Day and day after Labor Day-Oct. 31. Free outdoor exhibit available daily, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
