Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is 12 mi. s. on US 127 at 50 Kendall Rd. Established in 1975, the hatchery annually produces and raises approximately 1 million brook, brown and rainbow trout, which are later used to stock public waterways in Indiana and Kentucky. Visitors can follow the fishes’ development from the egg stage when they are kept in incubators, progressing to rearing tanks and then to the outside raceways. The visitor center features exhibits and an indoor theater and hosts workshops throughout the year. Fishing is allowed in the creek below the hatchery.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
