Hunt-Morgan House is at 201 N. Mill St. The early 1800s Federal-style house was built by John Wesley Hunt. Prominent family members include John Hunt Morgan, the “Thunderbolt of the Confederacy,” and Nobel Prize winner Thomas Hunt Morgan. The house features a fanlight doorway, a three-story cantilevered staircase, family furniture, portraits and a garden. Among the Civil War memorabilia displayed in the Alexander T. Hunt Civil War Museum, on the second floor, are documents, equipment and uniforms.
