The Aviation Museum of Kentucky is 5 mi. w. on US 60, s. on Man o’ War Blvd., s.w. on Airport Rd. (second airport entrance), then w. on Hangar Dr. to museum. Featuring interactive and hands-on exhibits, the museum houses a variety of aircraft including an Air Force T-38 supersonic trainer, an A-4 used by the Navy’s Blue Angels, a Navy F-14 Tomcat, a Marine Corps F-4 Phantom fighter and a replica of a 1908 Sellers Quadruplane—the first powered aircraft to fly over Kentucky. Visitors can climb aboard flight simulators and try “piloting” a light plane and an Army helicopter.
