North of Lexington, in the countryside laden with horse farms, you'll find a shabby little restaurant with lots of cars parked out front. Inside, equally unimpressive is the total lack of decorative extras! Don't be surprised when the staff address you as “honey” or “baby." What is impressive are the baskets of delicious beef brisket, pork ribs and pulled pork, complemented with side dishes of beer cheese grits and baked beans awaiting your anointment with Carolina, Memphis or Texas sauce. Peach bread pudding with a scoop of bourbon vanilla ice cream is a fine finish for your meal.
