Kentucky Center for African American Heritage is at 1701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. Designed to be the state's pre-eminent center focusing on the cultural, social and artistic contributions of African Americans, it is on the site of a restored trolley maintenance complex. Among the exhibits are those dedicated to York, the enslaved man who played a major part in the Lewis & Clark expedition; the Civil Rights Movement; and the role that the church has played in Black culture.
