AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Located in what was once a historic hotel's billiard parlor, this restaurant's elaborate, oak-paneled dining room has a dignified atmosphere that adds to its elegance. The menu, which changes seasonally and includes daily alterations that reflect market availability, features an extensive use of local produce, cheeses and meat. Among the beautifully prepared dished are the country hams married with pickled vegetables, the charred octopus, the grilled venison and the filet of beef with foie gras. Desserts, such as the chocolate ganache, are as beautiful as they are delicious. If you enjoy bourbon, stop by the Old Seelbach Bar, which has an impressive bourbon list.
