The museum, housed in the 1881 town library, features dioramas depicting the earliest settlement of Maysville, a map collection, slides of area scenes and architecture, exhibits about area agriculture and industry, an art gallery, a rotating exhibit gallery and a genealogical research library. The Kathleen Savage Browning Miniatures Collection is housed in 3,200 square feet of exhibit space and contains thousands of one-twelfth scale homes, mansions and vignettes. An adjacent pioneer graveyard dates to 1800.
