Owensboro Museum of Science and History, 122 E. 2nd St., has changing exhibits about Daviess County history and natural history as well as a motorsports gallery and traveling exhibitions. Named in honor of an Owensboro native who served as governor and U.S. senator, The Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center features exhibits that explain how government works. The Owensboro Rotary Playzeum gives children ages 10 and under the opportunity to play in a colorful, themed environment with crawl tubes, bridges, a riverboat, train and tree. A children’s area, complete with live reptiles, encourages hands-on participation.
