River Discovery Center

River Discovery Center, 117 S. Water St., features interactive displays including a boat simulator; 24 Hours on the River; a river boat timeline; a rain table; a lock and dam; a dredge model; river habitats including turtles and other wildlife; a 16-minute river film; a Civil War exhibit; and a restored 1920s calliope. In a renovated two-story, brick, 1843 antebellum structure built to house a bank, the museum overlooks the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers.
