Gladie Cultural-Environmental Learning Center is off I-64 exit 98 to the Bert T. Combs Mountain Pkwy., then off pkwy. exit 33 (Slade) to SR 11, following signs to SR 15, 1.5 mi. w. to SR 77, then following signs on SR 715 to 3451 Sky Bridge Rd. The center, within the Red River Gorge, provides conservation education and interpretive services throughout the year. Exhibits relate the archeology, history and nature of the forest. Visitors can view a 10-minute film detailing the area's cultural aspects and geological features.
Note: Travel through SR 77 leads vehicles through the historic Nada Tunnel. Larger vehicles, such as motorhomes, should use caution going through the tunnel. An alternative route to the center, which also includes sharp curves and steep slopes, is off Bert T. Combs Mountain Pkwy. exit 40 to SR 15, then following signs on SR 715 to the center.
