AAA Editor Notes
The Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History, in Spalding Hall, chronicles the history of the American whiskey industry. The collection exhibits rare documents, advertising posters and other memorabilia from pre-Colonial days through the 1960s. Also displayed are a 60-gallon copper still made in 1787 as well as whiskey bottles and containers, including an 1854 E.C. Booz bottle, the brand from which the word “booze” originated.
