Capital City Museum is downtown and across from the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History at 325 Ann St. The museum depicts Franklin County and Frankfort history through such exhibits as a scale model of the capitol building and an extensive collection of political memorabilia. A variety of products manufactured in Frankfort over the past two centuries as well as items associated with the area’s bourbon-distilling heritage also are displayed. Tour brochures and exhibits about the history of the area also are available here.
