AAA Editor Notes
The Louisville Palace is between Broadway and Chestnut St. at 625 S. 4th St. Designed by prominent architect John Eberson, known for his “atmospheric” theaters, the Palace opened in 1928 as the Loew’s United Artists Theatre. Atmospheric theaters created the illusion of being in an exotic location, in this case a Spanish courtyard.

The restored theater, featuring ornate plaster work and baroque decor, is now a live concert and special event venue.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
