Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is downtown at the jct. of W. 2nd and Frederica sts. at 311 W. 2nd St. The museum is home to exhibits and galleries documenting the origins and practitioners of bluegrass music, an art form dating to the 1940s. The Hall of Honor focuses on originators such as Bill Monroe, considered the father of bluegrass, as well as individuals whose efforts fostered the music’s popularity. Interactive features allow visitors to compare and contrast traditional and current styles.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
