Bullitt County History Museum is at 300 S. Buckman St. (Hwy. 61). The museum features exhibits detailing Bullitt County's pioneer history, as well as the salt-making and iron-smelting industries prevalent in the early days. The “Rivers, Roads and Railroads” exhibit expresses the importance of the area's geographical location relative to transportation. Other displays focus on such subjects as Native American history, rural electricity, Veterans Day and the Civil War.
