AAA Editor Notes
Laurel Valley Village is at 595 SR 308. Comprised of 60 buildings, the village is said to be the largest surviving sugar plantation in the United States. Built in the early 1800s, the small, Acadian-style and shotgun cabins on the site have housed slaves, sharecroppers and Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) laborers.

A general store displays antique tools, farm implements, tractors, and local arts and crafts.
