Abita Mystery House at the UCM Museum is at 22275 SR 36. Paint-by-number masterpieces, postcards, pocket combs and more than 250,000 bottle caps are among the unusual displays at this folk art museum, which is housed in a vintage filling station, a 90-year-old Creole cottage and the House of Shards, a building covered in mosaics. Highlights include animated scenes of Southern life created by Louisiana artist John Preble from found and recycled objects. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
