Capitol Park Museum is at 660 N. Fourth St. Items that make up the cultural, industrial and historical fabric of Louisiana are on display in two permanent exhibits—Grounds for Greatness: Louisiana and the Nation and The Louisiana Experience: Discovering the Soul of America. Visitors can see a Civil War era submarine as well as exhibits about Creoles, African-American history, Mardi Gras and the state's musical heritage at this Louisiana State Museum site.
