AAA Inspector Notes
Although a little off the beaten path, this distinctive restaurant, built from slave cabins and other historic edifices taken from nearby plantations, is worth the short drive from I-10. The menu focuses on Cajun and Creole cuisine, including selections such as blackened red fish with red beans and rice, preceded by delicious sweet cornbread. The friendly staff is a highlight. Those going on plantation tours will find this an excellent and convenient stopover for lunch.
