Slave customs, music and daily life are detailed. Visitors can see the contrast between an 1880s steam cotton gin and a modern, computerized, 900-bales-per-day operation by touring the 1,800-acre working plantation; the tour includes the opportunity to pick cotton in the fields. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
