Pros: Comfortable bed, clean, probably the best hotel breakfast we've ever had!
Cons: We decided to meet some friends on Saturday to do the Houma (geocaching) Geotour, so I booked this hotel for Saturday night. Friday, we decided we would come in to town early, so I looked at the Booking.com site (as I always do) and the rate was approximately $20.00 higher than what we were paying for Saturday night. I called the hotel and “Christie” (I believe that was her name) answered the phone. I gave her my name and asked if she could match the Saturday night rate for Friday night. She put me on hold and I was bounced around to several different people before someone came back and told me that she asked them to let me know that she could not match the rate. It wasn’t as if I was paying nothing-the rate was average. By that point I was kind of ticked off that she didn’t come back to the phone, so I booked a hotel elsewhere instead of paying the higher rate for Friday night. When we checked in I found out that Christie is the hotel manager. Hmmm. While I was very satisfied with the hotel, I believe they could use some phone skills customer service training. I would definitely stay here again, but I’m sorry that Christie decided not to honor my request to duplicate the rate for two nights in a row.

Pros: Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Comfortable beds
Cons: Our door wouldn't lock-had to get maintenance to repair. Hotel in rough part of town. Toilet broke and had to wait til next day for maintenance to fix-night manager left note for day staff but they didn't read message-so there was added delay. Breakfast had very limited options
