Rebel State Historic Site is 3 mi. n.w. to 1260 SR 1221. This site was named in honor of an unknown Confederate soldier, or Rebel, killed during the Civil War and buried by a local family. A focal point of the park is the Louisiana Country Music Museum, which has exhibits about the development of regional folk music. Bluegrass, gospel and country music concerts are given throughout the year.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
