New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park Visitor Center is at 916 N. Peters St. The facility features exhibits, live performances, and ranger-led walks and talks dealing with the birth, history and preservation of New Orleans jazz music. It also serves as the information center for the park's performance theater located on the third floor of The Old U.S. Mint. Brochures and audio cellphone tours describing self-guiding tours of historical jazz sites, organized by neighborhoods, are available at the visitor center. A 1-hour ranger-led jazz history walking tour is offered. Guided tours are available.
Free. Reservations are recommended for jazz history tour.
