AAA Inspector Notes
Rooms at this classic French Quarter hotel have a somewhat understated décor. The more elegant public areas include an upscale restaurant and a attractive courtyard pool area with tropical foliage. The location is just a few blocks from the buzz of Bourbon Street but in a slightly quieter neighborhood. Smoke free premises. 200 units. 5 stories, interior corridors.

Pros: The location is incredibly convenient and the staff always very friendly. The bathrooms downstairs are always clean and convenient . And the cookies are water are a nice touch in the lobby. I've stayed numerous times and will plan to come back (hopefully soon).
Cons: To be fair, I think the quality of the restaurant is slipping. I was happy to see that the murals survived the renovation plan, but the service wasn't quite up to the standards of my previous visits. And I also think the menu has lots some of its stellar dishes. My friends had one appetizer (wings) which weren't quite even edible. But I still love the hotel--just hope the restaurant returns to its old self.
