I have stayed in this hotel before and stayed on the forth floor. The beds were way more comfortable in the past and the pillows were as well. I did not expect to be sleeping on "my pillow" pillows. Not comfortable at all.
Pros: I always enjoy the people that work in the hotel. A pleasure to ask questions and receive personality with the conversation. The Bellman are wonderful. The rooms are clean. The lobby is classic.
Cons: There was one perticular bartender that was curt and I felt shunned by him. He worked in the Jazz bar. When another bartender came on duty he shunned him as well. I had paid for one drink and the new tender did not understand what I was explaining. The tender did not explain that I had paid for a drink already and had put more money into the folder for another. Once the new tender understood what had happened he apologized. I told him I understood and that the tender on duty should have explained and I made sure he heard me. He responded with, "you shouldn't switch bartenders". I had been standing waiting to be acknowledged for 10 minutes. The night before the same tender had almost tossed the drink menu towards me when I asked about wines.

Pros: Rooms were newly renovated. Service was great.
Cons: I brought my dog and the hotel doesn't have access to a grassy area nearby. Had to walk to the river. Not that hotels fault on that, but being that it's dog friendly I just assumed I wouldn't have to go far to take my dog out. I know for next time though.

Cons: The shower pressure was awful and the bathroom overall wasn't the cleanest I've experienced.
