AAA Inspector Notes
Not only does this hotel, built in 1927, have a prime location on the parade and streetcar routes, but also it captures the essence of its past heyday of the 1940's both inside and out. The fact that Tennessee Williams penned his famous "A Streetcar Named Desire" while in residence here is highlighted by a print of a commissioned sketch portrait of the author displayed in each room. Smoke free premises. 106 units. 11 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Wonderful service. Amazing decor. Such a unique property, down to the old-school keys that you enter your room with. History oozed out of the building with special touches everywhere. Several cute restaurant options, but the rooftop bar, Hot Tin, takes the cake! Spectacular city views and delicious drinks. It was an amazing place to stay for a first-time visit to New Orleans.
