Pros: The 3rd floor staff were charming and most helpful.
Cons: The Housekeeping was very erratic. The bed was not turned down each night of our 5 night stay. There was an emergency alarm for our area of the hotel (12th floor) which turned out to be a water pipe breaking. However we learned that not from the P.A. system screaming in our room with disparate messages......."leave your room using the stairs" and "stay where you are we are looking into the situation." It was the concierge that told us that later that evening.

Pros:
Cons: When we checked in we were not informed of a $150 incidental fee. When we checked out someone had charged chicken wings to our bill but then when I asked when and what time it was no one could answer me

Pros: Yes, the bed was like a cloud. The staff (Bubba at the front door and Kenneth in the restaurant) particularly kind and helpful. The live music a nice touch. On my second night I treated my family to dinner (including a toddler and my 8 year old nephew) and the staff was very accommodating - my nephew completed the "treasure hunt" and when we went to pick up his prize at the front desk, the young women who awarded him that little stuffed dog celebrated with us as if he'd won a gold medal. (apologies I didn't get their names: it was Saturday night 9/3). Delightful experience. All told, a wonderful stay - too brief!
Cons: I walked into my room to find rose petals on the floor and the bed, chocolates on the night table and a bottle of sparkling wine in the ice bucket. What's wrong with that??? Well, since I was traveling alone, I did not have romance in mind. I was a little taken aback, stunned, in fact, and initially thought I had a stalker (I work as a New York news anchor and Erin Andrews came to mind) . I called the front desk to find that my room had initially been booked by a couple celebrating some milestone, but that they had moved to another room - however, the staff neglected to remove their "celebratory items" from mine. No harm done, they told me to keep the wine. I cleaned up the rose petals and spent two incredibly comfortable nights with you. However, a concierge/housekeeping lapse is something I've never experienced at the Ritz-Carlton and something I thought I should call to your attention. Not upset, just concerned.
